COSMETIC TATTOO AFTERCARE

LIP BLUSH

- Wash lips with lukewarm water and unscented antibacterial soap before bed.

-Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or given ointment to your lips after cleansing.

-Do not wash your lips for the next 3-5 days of the healing process. Do not over saturate your lips with healing ointment, but do not let them dry out either. When they start to flake, leave them be. Apply ointment to weigh down any flakes, but otherwise let them fall off naturally.

*Please remember this is a new tattoo and should be cared for like an open wound. Only touch your new tattoo with clean hands.

Please contact us to know more about your do's and dont's with your healing.

BROWS

-Day one, blot your brows for the first 24 hours with a dry paper towel to remove any build up of lymphatic fluid. **This is very important. If you notice a lot of build up on your brows, gently use a damp, lukewarm cotton round to remove any excess build up. Pat dry.

-Day 2-4, you will experience some darkness and tightness from your brows. Wash morning and night with an antibacterial soap. Use your given ointment after cleansing, unless you have oily skin.

-Day 4-7, you will experience light itching and flaking. Do not pick at the flakes, let them fall off naturally. Pulling on the wound will pull the pigment out with it. Lightness is pigment is normal. Let your skin finish healing and settling.

*Please remember this is a new tattoo and should be cared for like an open wound. Only touch your new tattoo with clean hands.

-You can use oil-free facial wipes to wash around your eyes but be sure to avoid the tattooed area.

*Please remember this is a new tattoo and should be cared for like an open wound. Only touch your new tattoo with clean hands.

Please note that every client's skin will respond differently. Both in the length of time it takes to heal, and in the number of sessions it takes for your desired results and color retention. This information acts as a guideline only and we cannot guarantee results on anyone. Your results and longevity of your tattoo depends greatly on your aftercare during the healing process and beyond.

In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit:

- Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood)

Why do I need a touch up?

Skin can be an unpredictable canvas, and retention can vary from person to person. Touch ups are necessary to visibly assess how your color looks healed , and gauge how the look is meeting your personal expectations.

How long does it last?

The pigment can last for up to 1 - 3 years. Lighter colors will fade faster than the darker colors. It's all depending on your lifestyle and skin type -  each body is so unique! To maintain your permanent makeup, touch ups are recommended every 10 months to 2 years.

Does it hurt?

We use strong topical anesthetic used to numb before and during procedure for your comfort. However sensitivity differs from person to person. Please do not take any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24 hours before your procedure.

Do you shave off my eyebrows?

NO! Although we sometimes clean up around the brow, and change the shape if needed, we keep the brow hair where they are for the most natural outcome.

Do I book for just a touch-up if I've had permanent makeup done somewhere else?

No! If you're a new client to our studio, you have to book as a new brow appointment. If you have previous work that needs to be covered, you have to email us a clear photo to make sure we are comfortable enough to take on the job. Please contact us for more information if you're looking for us to work over previous tattoo.

Can I get tattooed while pregnant?

No! We will not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can I bring my kids to my appointment?

No! Because we are a tattoo parlor, you have to be above the age of 18 to be in the studio. We like to keep any distractions to a minimum so we can only focus on you during your appointment time. Plus, this is your mommy time!
